Inkluded’s new online store is now open! We’re launching with five limited edition t-shirt designs, created exclusively for Inkluded by tattoo artists.
Inkluded was set up in 2014 with a strong mission to share the exceptional tattoo artistry being created in the UK today, and seeks to raise awareness of amazing art by creating an artistic community that you can feel included in.
By purchasing one of our t-shirts, you’re supporting this thriving creative industry.
That’s why, we don’t just want you to browse our products, we also want to introduce you to the guys who made them happen.
Say hello to Hannya Jayne, who is one of the first artists creating an exclusive design for Inkluded’s new online store.
Hi, my name is Hannya Jayne and I’m in my sixth year of tattooing.
I’m quite hard to categorise as a tattoo artist – my styles range from geometric to art nouveau-inspired pieces, but I love designing ans tattooing in a ‘sketchy-painty’ style.
This isn’t the first time I have created a design for a t-shirt. I have done two previously as well as a few other promotional products like bottle openers and pocket mirrors. I’m so much more excited about designing a t-shirt motif for Inkluded though!
When it came to designing this artwork, the freedom Inkluded gave is amazing. When first asked, I felt equally as excited and nervous at the prospect of creative freedom.
I love drawing women and I wanted my lady to have a 1920s feel about her… but as I refined the drawing she evolved into a healer and witch. Plus, I’m still obsessed with Clutch’s La Curendera, and I think the overwhelming urge to dance has been translated into me drawing dancing women a lot.
The process of drawing for a design like this, compared to tattooing someone… it’s totally different! Some customers are wonderful and put their trust in you and just as much enthusiasm into a design as I do, so naturally freedom comes with this approach.
But honestly, largely as tattoo artists we are fighting to ‘do our thing’ with a concept. It was slightly daunting and unfamiliar to be looking at a blank piece of paper and thinking, what would I like to draw?
I just want to say a huge thank you. I really hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed drawing it!
Our online store is now closed. We have very few items left in stock and these are being sold through Stag & Raven.
