Inkluded’s new online store is now open! We’re launching with five limited edition t-shirt designs, created exclusively for Inkluded by tattoo artists.
Inkluded was set up in 2014 with a strong mission to share the exceptional tattoo artistry being created in the UK today, and seeks to raise awareness of amazing art by creating an artistic community that you can feel included in.
By purchasing one of our t-shirts, you’re supporting this thriving creative industry.
That’s why, we don’t just want you to browse our products, we also want to introduce you to the guys who made them happen.
Say hello to Mike Love, who is one of the first artists creating an exclusive design for Inkluded’s new online store.
I’m Mike Love… handpoke tattooer, straight out of Leicester city in a shop called Brothers Ink H.Q.. I’m in my second year of tattooing.
I solely hand poke tattoos, and specialise in bold lines and black-work, sometimes throwing in subtle dot-work shading. My interests are pop culture and traditional tattoo style artwork. I simply strive to create bold, simple and relevant pieces.
This isn’t the first time I have created art for a product – I designed a range of my own t-shirts in the past. It was an awesome project and I loved being able to reach my artwork out to a different audience.
For this Inkluded t-shirt, it took me a fair few attempts. It was a struggle getting together an idea and making it work as a fashion statement. I’m so used to making all of my ideas work as tattoos, I found it difficult to change my way of thinking. I wanted to make a piece that would stir some emotions, not just a pretty picture. So what better than a bit of anarchy?
Comparing this design process to tattooing, it was a totally different challenge all together, as I had to really think about the fashion side of designing and making things work on a larger scale. But I had a mad load of fun!
I hope people love wearing the t-shirt as much as I loved designing it! I’d love to see some photos of you wearing it so make sure to tag my Instagram with your photos!
Our online store is now closed. We have very few items left in stock and these are being sold through Stag & Raven.
