We are excited to announce Inkluded’s first tattoo zine!
What’s a zine? A zine is self-published, non-profit, hand-made booklet, created by artists, writers, small brands or movements. They’re unpolished and unusual. They bring together words and images to send a strong message out into the world in an artistic way. Zines are made from hand and then photocopied – making them stand out from the crowd of commercial glossy magazines.
Over the last 19 months Inkluded has unintentionally grown to be a little community of wonderful individuals. Our first ever zine will bring this group of people together into one raw, rough and ready booklet.
We’ve had just short of 500,000 visits to inkluded.co.uk since we launched in November 2014. We now want to drag our little tattoo world off the internet and portray what we love about it in printed form.
Selected tattoo artists, bloggers, writers and enthusiasts that we have worked with are sending us bits of torn paper that will be complied together to become our zine. It will be a scrapbook of memories, random words, hand-written poems, typewriter notes, photographs, thoughts, illustrations, drawings and designs – an little abstract collection of ink.
The zines will be available from mid-August. We’ll be selling them online for a very small price!
We aren’t here to make money. Every penny we take goes back into promoting our website, products and the amazing artists behind it all. We’re creating this zine to spread the word about what we do… our message is to invite the rest of the world to join our community too.
Inkluded’s tattoo zine will feature work, words and ramblings from: Mike Love, Hannya Jayne, Shaun Williams, Samantha Pixie Robson, Lydia Amor, Daniel Potter, Clare Lambert, Kat Winifred, Dan Metcalfe, Fiona Hambleton, Angharad Chappelle, Joanne Baker + more.
If any tattoo artists would like to be involved with future zine projects or would like any copies for their studios please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our online store is now closed. We have very few items left in stock and these are being sold through Stag & Raven.
