I’m in love with these adorable animal tattoos by artist Keith Lin.
These tattoos combine the textures and shapes of origami with traditional Japanese tattoo imagery like chrysanthemums, maple leaves, waves and cherry blossoms. This New Zealand-based tattooist captures the loveable and vulnerable characteristics of small animals with this unique artistic idea.
Origami is the word used to describe the act of folding paper into recognisable objects – an art which is more often than not associated with ancient Japanese culture. I love that Keith utilises the bright colours and vivid patterns of Asian tattooing whilst also doing something completely original!
These little colourful tattoos are pure perfection!
