In late 2016 I had the pleasure of being photographed by renowned fashion photographer Emma-Jane Lewis as part of my feature for Blogosphere magazine which was released last month.
Since then, I have travelled down to London to work with Emma-Jane again… this time to help out with a workshop she was running for her photography students.
A group of individuals studying photography were given the opportunity to work in a studio environment. From getting the lighting right to interacting with and working with a model (me!), they were given an in-depth insight into this specific style of indoor photography. They were also asked to think about the ways in which tattoos can be captured through stylised images.
It was great to be involved, watch Emma-Jane and her students at work, meet some lovely people and learn a hell of a lot myself! I’m by no means a professional in front of the camera but actually enjoying being photographed (sometimes!) as it allows me to see myself in new, positive ways that I hadn’t before.
Thanks for the learning experience and for the awesome photos, guys. Here’s just a small selection by Emma-Jane herself.
