When a tattoo artist has a vast portfolio of outstanding work, it can sometimes make it harder to interview them as the art very much speaks for itself. A picture tells a thousand words, and all that jazz.
That’s why, I’ve taken to my new hobby of hurling completely random, non-tattoo related questions at some of the world’s best artists. So you can get to know the human bodies behind the photos of ink you scroll through every day.
A few weeks ago you heard from self-confessed meme nerd Ellis Arch. Today, meet Chrissy Hills.
Chrissy has been tattooing for four years and is based at Inklination in Gosport, UK (when she’s not on the road at one of her many international guest spots).
Describe yourself in just one word.
I’d have to say ‘hungry’. 90% of the time.
What animal would you be and why?
Definitely a rabbit. They’re a bit twitchy but they also know how to chill. Every time I see a rabbit I vibe with its little brain.
What is your greatest love?
You can only ever eat ONE food again in your buy viagra online blog lifetime. What is it?
What’s one thing in your house you couldn’t live without?
Which song is always guaranteed to put a smile on your face?
Bisc… sorry. Best of Me by The Starting Line. It’s my favourite song of all time and it holds so much nostalgia factor for me. I just love it.
Next country you plan to visit.
I’ll be visiting Norway next months on a guest spot, and I’ll definitely be doing some hiking and exploring while I’m there, too!
Do you have any pets?
I have an amazing cat called Cake. He’s a babe.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
Put my plants and crystals on the windowsill to absorb some sweet sunlight.
If you weren’t tattooing and could do any other job in the world, what would you do?
I’d like to do something outdoorsy – like a kayak instructor somewhere awesome like Canada or New Zealand.
