Like I’ve said in previous blogs, much like a broken record, I have so many UK studios on my bucket list and not enough hours in the day (or space on my skin) to work my way around all of the places I’d love to visit.
Somewhere I’ve been dying to spend time at for sometime now is Folklore Tattoo in Tamworth, headed up by the ever lovely and talented Marie Cox, accompanied by her colleague and equally talented tattoo artist Adam McDermott.
Adam‘s been tattooing 5 years and his unique graphic and cartoon-like style embraces colourful characters and shapes. His use of colour is phenomenal. 7 years tattooing, owner and award-winning tattooist Marie has a beautiful style influenced by botanical art and nature – delicate and feminine yet simultaneously bold and powerful.
I’m finally heading on down (or is it ‘up’?) to this well-known hub of creativity as I’m getting tattooed by artist Angharad ‘Lady’ Chappelle. She’s guesting, and I’m gatecrashing.
I will no doubt have some live updates on the day – I’ve heard about the friendly and relaxed vibe at this shop from many others before, so have a feeling I’m going to fall in love with this studio!
