The busiest week of my life.

There is so bloody much happening right now! Tomorrow I am working my first tattoo convention-SCARY! Then next week me and Mike are off to España to guest and soak up the sun. Yessss.

Right, the convention. I’m working Nottingham Tattoo Convention, reppin’ my home studio, Sakura Tattoo, Leicester with my boss lady Clare Lambert. I’m writing this really late, the day before, after stressing all day and fannying about trying to get everything sorted and looking fly. Lets see if I’ll succeed?

I’ve always attended conventions and admired how beautiful a lot of artists booths look, but never really realised how much hard work and preparation goes into it! I’ve ended up just kind of throwing things together in a hope that it will be OK, as long as I’m there, with some needles, ink and chopsticks not a lot can go wrong, right? (Please don’t jinx me…)

This week, our brother shop Brothers Ink HQ had an international guest artist from Greece, Renée. She specialises in black neo-trad work. Me and Mike had matching roses tattooed by her, it was the least painful tattoo I’ve ever had! I’m such a wuss when it comes to getting tattooed. The more I get, the worse it feels.

Ooh, I think I’ve just had a booking for tomorrow! Woohoo! I’m still so much of a child when it comes to exciting and nerving events. Well, any event really. Tonight I wont sleep. I’ll be singing to Mike, asking him to make up bed-time stories and creating ridiculous scenarios that could (but would never) happen into the early hours.

Then he’ll end up shouting at me to go to sleep and I’ll have to shut my eyes really tightly and try to round up the 10,000 sheep sprinting around my brain until I eventually wear myself out and fall asleep.
